not Women Empowerment
We don't just respond — we prevent. Whether you're in a cab, walking home, arguing with an auto driver, or even feeling unsafe at home, school or work — Safer watches over you. Our goal is to ensure that women act at the slightest hint of danger, without hesitation or fear of being wrong.

Founder's Note
Years ago, I was shaken by the tragic case we came to know later as Nirbhaya. It led me to research the harsh realities of sexual violence, and that’s when I discovered Mathura — the tribal girl at the center of India’s first recorded rape case. That moment sparked an idea: what if I could build a network so strong that no woman in India ever felt unprotected again?

The vision began as Project Mathura — a dream to establish three safety hubs in each of India’s 19,000+ pin codes, staffed by trained female officers and sustained by something as simple as a ₹1 donation from every Indian — a people-powered movement for nationwide safety.

At the time, it was just a frustrated kid’s reaction to horrific news. But over the years, the idea evolved — sharpened by experience, empowered by technology, and grounded in possibility. That dream is now a reality: Giggles Safer.

Today, Safer exists not just to respond, but to prevent. Unlike traditional SOS apps that only notify your emergency contacts, Safer acts — with drones, ground support, real-time coordination, and smart triggers designed for real-world threats. This is not just another app. This is the future of women’s safety in India — a country that still ranks 122 out of 177 on the global safety index for women. Safer is here to change that. One alert. One life. One pin code at a time.

About Safer
Safer is bigger than you and I — it’s a promise. A promise that no woman should ever feel alone, unheard, or unprotected when facing danger. While women safety issue is widely recognized, many believe it's a problem without a solution, maybe! but we're here to try.

Born out of the urgent need for real, on-ground support, Safer is India’s first women’s safety platform that goes beyond digital alerts. With the tap of a button — or a hidden press of your phone’s volume keys — our technology mobilizes a dedicated emergency response: drones, trained ground teams, and real-time coordination with trusted contacts and local authorities.

Changing Mindsets, One Action at a Time
India is westernizing — we’re embracing new cultures, lifestyles, and freedoms. But while the surface has changed, our mindset hasn’t kept pace. Many men in our society still see women through the lens of outdated beliefs, no different than a decade ago.

Women’s safety won't truly improve until our mindset changes. When a girl can be stabbed to death in broad daylight while 15 bystanders do nothing — that tells us we’re still far from real progress. The real India we need is one where people care enough to act. Where safety is a community responsibility.
Our volunteer network isn’t just a backup force — it’s a movement to create everyday heroes. When a woman triggers an SOS and a local volunteer responds — supported by Safer’s backend team — that moment becomes life-changing for both. The act of stepping up, of being there when someone needs you most, is powerful. It creates a lasting memory, and most importantly — a shift in perspective.

We believe helping is addictive. Once someone experiences the power of showing up for another human, they’ll never walk away again.

Through these real-life moments, we aim to change how men think, act, and protect — not out of obligation, but from a place of pride. In a generation or two, this mindset will be the norm. A proactive, empathetic, and responsible society — that’s the India we’re working toward. Change takes time and we are patient, but pro-active.
The future of women’s safety starts with the men who choose to care

Safer is here to spark — not just protection, but participation.

Buy safer for your women, because we know how safe we truly want them to be.
Safer is reshaping the country, creating a new niche, a non-existent industry focused on real world safety for women, one day we may extend to men, or find a different use case and problem to solve. But today, we're taking the first step, with all of our hearts focused on the cause.
